Beer Stew

Ingredients:

2.5poundsstew meat, trimmed and cut into bite-size chunks
1-4clovesgarlic, chopped
1bayleaf
lcan(12 oz) dark beer
1pkg.Knorr's oxtail soup mix
1batchfresh mushrooms and all kinds of veggies
salttotaste

Method:

Throw this all in the crockpot and cook on high for about 4 hours, then on low for another 4 hours. Stir occasionally.
I've used all the usual stew veggies but also turnips, zucchini, green peas, whatever appeals...
